Emily Pendell is proud to serve as the Superintendent/Principal of Stony Creek Joint Unified School District. She brings a strong background in classroom teaching, educational technology, and school leadership to her role, along with a deep commitment to supporting students, staff, families, and the broader Stony Creek community.

Mrs. Pendell earned her Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credential from Chico State University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and administrative credential from Concordia University Irvine. Before moving into administration, she spent 10 years teaching middle school, where she developed a passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.

As a leader, Mrs. Pendell values strong relationships, clear communication, and a positive school culture where every student feels known, supported, and encouraged to succeed. She is especially passionate about educational technology, student opportunity, and building systems that help small schools thrive.

Outside of school, Mrs. Pendell enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, and their herd of miniature dairy goats. She is grateful to live and work in the Stonyford community and is honored to serve the students and families of SCJUSD.
